Apartments Hidden Paradise

Hidden Paradise is a small family hotel built in 1990 and renovated in 2009. It is situated in the peaceful fishing town of Zavala on the south side of the island Hvar, far away from the crowds and mass tourism noise.

Four small Mediterranean stone houses – apartments for 4-5 people and a pet if you have one, are also a part of the family hotel. All four houses surrounding the hotel are only around 20, 30 m away from the sea, surrounded with pine trees, an olive grove and a vineyard, home of the exquisite Zavala wine.

On the first and second floor of the hotel you can find 10 rooms and 2 suites. All of them have an en suite bathroom with a shower, a mini bar and a large balcony with a view of the sea and the island of Scedro and Korcula.

A beautiful pebble beach rounds up the experience. Protected by an oleander wall from the north side and walls on the east and west sides, the Hidden Paradise beach faces south, bathing in sun all day long.

Mediterranean stone houses – apartments

The houses have two separate bedrooms and a bathroom on the 1st floor and a living room, bathroom and kitchen on the groundfloor. Every house has an exquisite terrace with a view of the sea, SAT TV, air-conditioning and even a fireplace to comfortably indulge in during fall and early spring when you can relax by picking olives and help out in the vineyard for which you will absolutely be awarded with a delicious home-prepared meal.

Vacation in late fall or early spring is perfect for writing your thesis, a book, studying or simply relaxing over a good book. There is also a possibility for fitness training during the whole year or joining the fishermen on their hunt. All this ca be experienced in fresh air in the arms of unspoiled nature, endless yearning sea, accompanied with excellent home-cooked food and lovely wine.

Konoba – a typical Dalmatian restaurant

There is a lovely surprise on the groundfloor of the house: a rustic Dalmatian restaurant offering you delicious home-prepared specialities on a daily basis. Plenty of fresh fish, sea food, vegetables, fruit and excellent house wine directly from the vineyards of the Hidden Paradise hotel make for an unforgettable gourmet experience.

Left of the main terrace of the restaurant is a »special place«, a separate table next to a covered fireplace and a rustic baker´s oven with gentle sounds of music. Under the main terrace there are are a few smaller terraces with tables and chairs with stairways leading to the beautiful pebble beach with small white stones and turquoise colour of the sea.

All terraces are surrounded with rich Mediterranean vegetation like olive tree, fig tree, lemon tree, hibiscus, oleanders, eglantine, rosemary, sage and naturally – the queen of all scents – lavender.

Hidden Paradise welcomes pets but that is not all.

Wellness, sauna, beach bar

There is also a vineyard Wellness (in tipis) and a wonderful Beach & Cocktail bar with a terrace where you can enjoy the candlelight romance with a view of the rising moon or have a shake in the rhythm of salsa.

Hidden Paradise is an excellent start for spoiling and relaxation as well as an excellent start for an active holiday, full of adventures and explorations. It is a place where you can unwind in the gentle hands of masseurs and the relaxing vineyard sauna effects – a sauna in the shape of a wine barrel is placed in the middle of the vineyard and has a window with a view of the sea, as well as the aromatic scents of lavender, rosemary and oleander. This is the place to experience true Mediterranean as it once was.

Cocktail bar at the far end of the world

There is a Beach & cocktail bar in the olive grove shades only 10 m from the pebble beach open daily from 10 a.m. to 01 a.m.

The bar has a large terrace where you can enjoy refreshing cocktails and vitamin smoothies accompanied with music while you observe the beach life beneath you. This is a place of After beach, salsa and moonlight parties. Experience the sunset and enjoy the moonlight reflection while listening to the soft sounds of tender Dalmatian music. Dalmatia in its most authentic way.

Wellnes among the vineyards in tipis

Wellness in Hidden Paradise is very innovative: you are offered wine therapy in tipis placed in the romantic ambiance of Dalmatian vineyards.

Wine therapy with its century-old tradition offers a genuine sense of health and relaxation. The oil´s natural efficiency is acquired from grape stone (it was named green gold in the Middle ages and today it´s the most expensive oil in the world) and has an excellent effect on free radicals, so the therapy has a remarkable anti-aging effect. A visit to the sauna is also a unique experience: placed in a vineyard in a wine barrel with a window overlooking the sea and the nearby islands.

Prices in the table are per apartment per day.

By booking the hotel room for 2 persons, the price in the table is valid for 2 persons, including delicious half-board.

An additional bed can be provided for a child up to 7 years in the hotel room, for an additional 40 €/day, where half-board is included in the price.

The Mediterranean house  fulfilled our expectations entirely and exceeded the privacy criteria. We have never ever spent our holiday on such a high level. It was exactly what we were looking for and we finally found it. It was intimate, a completely different world. The kind that makes your blood run through your veins and calms any fears with the utmost privacy. Even the owner of the apartment was perfect.
